Reggae and Hip-Hop Combined to Create One of the Hottest Party Songs Ever

What does Shabba Ranks, Beenie Man, Sean Paul and more recently Elephant Man all have in common? They are huge reggae dancehall stars who have added a little hip hop flavor to their music and ended with huge top-selling party songs. The latest such song is the hot party and club hit by Dre called 'Party all night.'

December 30, 2004 -- The hot selling party song Party all night by Dre is enjoying huge success on Itunes and Napster without a music video and without any major airplay. Numerous users of Itunes and Napster seem to have 'Party all Night' by Dre on their playlist or Imix. You would be very hard pressed to attend any hip-hop or reggae club and leave without hearing this song. What is even harder, is to find one person in a club who does not dance while the song is playing. There are even some who are now saying that this is the hottest party song ever.

DJ Smooth who produced the instrumental for Party all night says a lot of the song's succes is owed to digital distribution. 'Although we had no video on MTV or BET we are still banging in the clubs.. it is totally awesome and crazy'. We can see why DJ Smooth would have these sentiments, because his instrumentals which is called Any Type War is also one of the hottest selling instrumentals on Itunes and Napster.

DJ Smooth is also the producer of the very controversial song Stepping Razor by Bookman. He also produces couple of the tracks on the hot new Reggae Gold album and has also worked with hip-hop and reggae artist such as Big Mook, Exile and Dre. Party all night is currently the front-runner in a worldwide contest to figure out the hottest party song ever. Dre's label mate Bookman is also the running for the best political song of the year with the hot and controversial Stepping Razor.

Both the songs are currently hot sellers and can be found on ITunes on the 18 Karat Reggae old 2005 album.
